Every Detail, Perfected.

It begins when you reach out to book your fitting.
I recommend securing your bridal alterations as soon as your gown is ordered, as I am often fully booked six months or more in advance.
Your first fitting is usually scheduled around 8 to 12 weeks before your wedding, allowing time to shape your gown with care and precision.
If you are planning bespoke changes or design additions, a longer lead time may be needed.
All fittings take place by appointment at my private bridal studio near Somerton in Somerset, between Yeovil and Glastonbury.

the first Hello

step ONE

Your fittings are where your gown begins to take shape.
Together, we will assess the fit, refine the structure, and carefully pin each adjustment to ensure the gown sits beautifully and moves as it should.
This is a considered process, where every detail is shaped with precision.
You will need to bring your wedding shoes, along with the underwear you plan to wear on the day, as these directly affect the fit and balance of your gown.
If you are unsure about these, we can guide you through the best options at your first appointment.

the fitting

step two

Your gown is prepared for collection, pressed and finished so it is ready for your wedding day.

At this stage, every adjustment has been carefully completed to ensure your dress feels balanced, comfortable, and completely your own.

Collection is usually arranged as close to your wedding day as possible.

The big reveal

step three

When should I book my Bridal fitting?

I recommend booking your wedding dress alterations as soon as your gown is ordered.

Your first fitting is usually scheduled around 8 to 12 weeks before your wedding, but booking early ensures availability, as I am often fully booked several months in advance.

If you are planning bespoke changes, additional time may be required.

How many sizes can my dress be altered?

Most gowns can be adjusted by two to three sizes. Anything beyond that may still be possible, but it usually involves more complex work or creative solutions. I’ll happily look at your gown with you and advise on the best options for achieving the perfect fit.

Can I change the style of my wedding gown?

Yes, absolutely. Making bespoke changes is what I do. From adding embellishment or making sleeves, adding a corset back or changing the neckline, or perhaps restyling the skirt or adding an overlay. The list is endless!

How much do alterations cost?

Each dress is different, and every bride is unique and so it is difficult to give a precise cost. However, as a guide the average cost for bridal alterations is between £450-£690. Once I have seen you in your dress, at your first fitting, I will be able to give you an accurate invoice.

What should I bring to my bridal fitting?

It is essential that you bring your wedding shoes, along with the correct underwear that you will wear with your dress on your wedding day to all fittings. These will affect the fit of your gown. If you are unsure or undecided on these items, then please let me know before your first fitting so we can decide on the best options for you.

What happens once the alterations have been finished?

I will hand press and steam your gown ready for collection so that your dress is perfect for your wedding day. The collection is usually booked for as near to your wedding day as possible.

Can I bring guests with me to my fitting appointment?

You are most welcome bring one guest with you.

What if my weight fluctuates?

Don’t worry this happens to many of us. Just let me know at your first fitting and I can then work in the changes if we need to.

I am going to be pregnant on my wedding day, will my dress still fit?

Firstly, congratulations! If you let me know I can then look at all the solutions to your dress alterations and we can chat about various options. Please also know that I am the sole of discretion and would always keep these details between us.

Do you stock dress accessories?

I can create veils and other bespoke pieces like jackets, boleros and coverups etc, to compliment your dress. I have sample items ready to try on.

Why should I choose to book with you?

Because you want a gown that fits like it was made for you. Every adjustment is carefully considered, every fitting calm and unhurried, and every detail refined, so your dress feels effortless and your confidence shines on your wedding day.
